Background
Customer satisfaction remains the most interesting subject for organizations as well as the researchers because they have only one goal is increasing the profit and trying to decrease the cost. It means that if we want to increase the sale, we must get a lot of satisfaction of customer. The same as healthcare, the judgment of patients in healthcare response to patients ‘satisfaction and can impact the outcome of healthcare provider. In Cambodia, the government is providing the national social security fund to decrease the people’s burden in healthcare problem, which offers NSSF to all people. That’s why I am interested in researching about patients ‘satisfaction of using NSSF at department of surgery of friendship Khmer soviet hospital in order to know about what is the difference.
Methods
A cross-sectional study was conducted to evaluate the satisfaction of 140 patients who used NSSF before their discharge and we interviewed for 7 days from 1st January to 7th January 2025 at surgery department at friendship Khmer soviet hospital. Data was collected using Google Forms and data entry and analysis were performed in IBM SPSS version 20. A descriptive analysis was performed to calculate the percentage of each variable, T test is used to determine the difference of Mean for 2 group while ANOVA test is used to compare 3 or more groups related to participants’ characteristics and patients satisfaction with service quality, trust and reputation.
Results
This study showed that among 140 participants, there were 78 female participant (55.7%) and 62 male participants (44.3%). the numerous age group is 18 to 45 years olds (39.3%) and have been admitted to surgery department (62.9%). They were factory workers and the satisfied with using NSSF at surgery department environs 70% depend on quality of service, trust and reputation.
Conclusion
Patients ‘satisfaction at surgery department at friendship Khmer soviet hospital has only around 70% based on our research and we’ve got the strong points and some points that we need to improve to achieve more rating in the future.
