Investigating the effect of wellbore inclination on the onset of liquid loading in a gas well was done using OLGA multiphase flow
simulation software. Liquid loading was simulated at 0° (vertical well), 90° (horizontal well) and at 30°and 40° (deviated), by
varying the wellbore inclination while keeping all other well and reservoir parameters constant. The simulation was run in a
hypothetical depletion scenario lasting 48hrs. The results show that the vertical and horizontal scenarios would delay the onset
of liquid loading further than the inclined scenarios, as the well did not load within the 48hrs period in the case of the vertical
and horizontal, while in the 40° case, the onset of liquid loading occurred at about 36hrs with the well dead at about 41hrs.
