Biography
Shakir Ullah is a dedicated academic and researcher in the field of Botany, with extensive teaching and research experience across various institutions in Dir Lower, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Botany at the prestigious Institute of Botany, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), China, where he maintains a CGPA of 3.8 (First Division) and is expected to graduate in 2025. Shakir Ullah began his higher education at the University of Malakand, earning his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in 2013 with First Division honors. He later completed his Master of Botany (M.Sc.) in 2015 and M.Phil in Botany in 2018, both from Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, achieving First Division in both degrees. Over the years, he has served in several teaching and research roles, including: Teaching Assistant at GPGC College, Timergara (2017?2018) Visiting Lecturer and Research Assistant at GGUK College, Samarbagh, Dir Lower (2019?2020) Visiting Lecturer and Research Assistant at the National Institute of Education, Timergara (2021?2022) Visiting Lecturer and Research Assistant at another academic institution in Dir Lower (2022?2023) In each of these roles, Shakir has contributed meaningfully to both undergraduate education and research activities. His primary academic interests lie in plant taxonomy, biodiversity, ecological conservation, and advanced botanical studies. Shakir Ullah is recognized for his commitment to academic excellence, his ability to inspire students, and his passion for scientific exploration. He aims to advance his career as a researcher and educator, with the vision of contributing to botanical sciences both nationally and internationally.
Research Interest
Recently working on the Phylogeny of medicinal plants in China. Systematics, Evolutionary Biology, biodiversity, conservation biology, ecological niche modeling, climate modeling, ecology, medicinal plants.
